JIU - Java Imaging Utilities - 0.13.0

Marco Schmidt   31 Oct 2005 18:28 GMTPage rating:

JIU (Java Imaging Utilities) version 0.13.0 has been released.

=== General information

JIU, the Java Imaging Utilities, is a library which offers
functionality to load, analyze, process and save pixel images.

It is written in the Java programming language and comes with full
source code under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2.

JIU requires Java 1.1 or higher.

=== Release information

/This was a small maintenance release./

Functionality was added to the formerly empty ReduceRGB class. The
documentation was cleaned up. A JPEG codec was started, but does not
work yet. A small speed improvement was made in Resample. A French
translation of jiuawt was added.

All URLs were changed to point to the schmidt.devlib.org site. Some
documentation formats (Postscript, DVI in general and the PDF version
of the API docs) and types (HTML source code) were dropped. Core and
non-core distribution packages were merged into one and only a single
distribution archive format is offered (.tar.bz).
