*Bind domain data to Swing components*
Hello,
I've released the 1.0 final of the free JGoodies Binding.
This release fixes bugs and comes with an FAQ and
references to relevant information and related projects.
For details about the changes see the release notes.
The JGoodies Binding library connects object properties
to Swing user interface components. And it helps you
represent the state and behavior of a presentation
independently of the GUI components used in the interface.
The Binding reduces the code necessary for object presentation,
stream-lines the development process for data binding,
provides advanced features for automatic update notification,
and helps you seperate the domain and presentation layers.
This library is licensed under the terms of the
BSD open source license and available at no charge.
All known critical and major bugs have been fixed and
the fixes have been tested in several release candidates.
The current distribution is now ready for production;
the library is stable, and there's some guidance how to
work with the library: tutorial sources, a presentation,
a pattern catalog, HTML documentation and API docs.
The Binding library has been financed by customers of
the JGoodies Swing Suite. It is only with their money
that I can provide, maintain, and improve this library
at no charge. If you save time and money using the Binding,
please help me finance my Java desktop activities
by licensing the commercial Swing Suite.
I hope the JGoodies Binding helps you simplify and
stream-line your Swing application development.
Best regards,
Karsten Lentzsch
