nVision Software Technologies, LLC., a leading provider of enterprise web
applications service level management solutions announced today it has
released Version 2 of its flagship AppVisionT-SLM solution for maximizing
the service levels of cross-platform web applications and services.
AppVision-SLM was designed for enterprises that seek to optimize the uptime
and availability of their customer facing web applications while fully
leveraging today's limited resources, budgets and personnel. The new
version further enhances application administrators' ability to proactively
monitor the health of their business-critical J2EE or Microsoft .NET based
web applications and automates the problem diagnosis and resolution
processes when unplanned outages or application errors occur.
"Downtime can equal loss of customers and revenue - it's just that simple",
said Cameron Haight, Research Vice President at Gartner, Inc. "Enterprises
today have an imperative to look for IT operations management solutions that
can assist in the delivery of consistent, reliable Web services to
customers, employees and partners."
AppVision-SLM's new release offers enhancements that simplify and extend
its self-monitoring, self-diagnosing and self-healing capabilities and
expands the program's ability to deliver customized error handling.
Technology improvements to the program include:
„ Application Baselines - AppVision-SLM Version 2 allows application
administrators to develop baselines of normal application execution. Errors
that occur outside the baseline can then be detected, captured, diagnosed
and automatically routed to the appropriate IT resource in real time for
resolution.
„ Application Monitoring - Version 2 now provides the ability to not
only detect real time errors in business-critical web applications, but to
also monitor web applications and services and alert IT personnel when an
application component abnormally terminates.
„ Enhanced Self-Diagnosis - AppVision-SLM Version 2 enhances the
application diagnostic capabilities in AppVision-SLM to include root cause
diagnostic information from the application infrastructure.
„ Customized error handling - AppVision-SLM Version 2 now enables web
application developers to develop custom reporting and error handling
modules for delivering self-healing and self-recovering applications when an
error occurs anywhere in the application infrastructure.
„ Error Event Recording - Application administrators can now record
error events and play them back in order to get a contextual view of error
sequences.
„ Custom Configurable Views - AppVision-SLM Version 2 allows application
administrators to easily customize the nVision Visibility Manager Console to
view all or portions of their application infrastructure.
„ Application Server Additions - Version 2 allows application
administrators to install preconfigured baseline and rule sets for the most
popular J2EE and .NET application server environments including IBM
WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, Oracle Application Server, Sun Enterprise Java
Server, JBoss and Macromedia ColdFusion MX.
Johnny Anderson, president and CEO of nVision Software Technologies said,
"Version 2 builds on the success of AppVision-SLM Version 1, which quickly
emerged as one of the leaders in web application fault management.
According to industry studies, AppVision-SLM can reduce repair times by as
much as 90%."
AppVision-SLM for Java and AppVision-SLM for .NET are available through
