[ANN] edtFTPj 1.4.7 released (Free FTP client)

javaftpclient@yahoo.com   18 Mar 2005 20:35 GMTPage rating:

Enterprise Distributed Technologies is happy to announce the immediate
release of edtFTPj 1.4.7, the popular Java library for embedding full
FTP capabilities into Java applications.

edtFTPj is Open Source (LGPL) and can be freely embedded into
commercial applications. It supports a wide range of FTP commands, and
has been downloaded over 120,000 times.

Unrestricted (i.e. non-LGPL) commercial source licenses are also
available at a very reasonable price.

This release adds cdup() and deprecates constructors (preferring setter
methods), see

http://www.enterprisedt.com/products/edtftpj/overview.html

We also have available a derivative commerical product, edtFTPj/SSL,
a secure version of edtFTPj supporting FTPS (FTP over SSL). For more
details see
