ScheduleWorld version 1.2

Mark Swanson   27 Jan 2004 03:31 GMTPage rating:

Hello,

Please post this to comp.lang.java.announce:

ScheduleWorld version 1.2 is now available.
What's new in 1.2:

1.  INTEROPERABILITY WITH Exchange/Outlook/Notes/etc... USING EMAIL.
   (Worth shouting about) :-)

At the moment, only events/meetings are integrated.
For example, you can invite, reschedule, update, accept, decline,
       tentatively accept, and cancel events/meetings.

       ToDos/tasks will be integrated shortly.

2.  Big contact management updates that enable you to create and manage
       non-ScheduleWorld (Outlook/Notes/etc...) contacts.

3.  Internationalization (i18n) cleanups in the interoperability validation
       handling (iTIP - RFC 2446).

4.  Deleting ToDos works again.

5.  ToDo permission changes always stick.

6.  Upgraded obfuscator so the update patches are smaller.

7.  Loads of robust checking added to gracefully handle problems.

8.  Minor error message cleanups in the TimeSheets module.

Soon in release 1.3: TV-Guide schedules for 10 countries.

In release 1.3.1: Weather schedules

ScheduleWorld is a free Java (1.4+) calendaring and scheduling application
that is compatible with Outlook/Exchange/Notes/etc... and comes with a free
server service.
