[ANN] edtFTPj/SSL 1.0 released.  FTP over SSL

CSharp FTP Client   17 Nov 2003 19:38 GMTPage rating:

Enterprise Distributed Technologies is happy to announce the
immediately availability of edtFTPj/SSL.

edtFTPj/SSL is a Java library which allows developers to add secure
file transfer capabilities to their applications with minimal effort.

edtFTPj/SSL implements FTP over SSL (explicit mode), which is fast
becoming the defacto standard for secure FTP. Built on the solid
foundation of the stable and mature edtFTPj code-base, edtFTPj/SSL
benefits from the robustness that years of open-source development and
thousands of installations brings.

Unlike edtFTPj, this is a commercial product. It uses the edtFTPj API,
so it is straightforward to upgrade an existing edtFTPj application to
use SSL.
