Hello everyone,

version 0.9.0 of HelpSetMaker has just been released. It features many
enhancements over the formerly announced version 0.6.2 from October of
2003. Among them:

- Output not only as JavaHelp HelpSet and HTML file hierarchy, but also as
one big HTML file and LaTeX code.
- JavaHelp HelpSets can now be created with a full-text search index.
- Image handling massively improved: Drag'n'drop support for image
inclusion, iconified view of images, improved handling of image libraries.
- File tree gives now more information and can be used much, much better for
navigation and tree composition.
- Undo/redo support in the document editor.

LaTeX export allows in combination with PDFLaTeX PDF file creation. All
these new features let HelpSetMaker evolve from a very HelpSet-centric tool
towards a quite general purpose documentation authoring system. For those
of you knowing of HelpSetMaker 0.6, a look onto version 0.9 is definitely
worth it. And for those of you who do not know HelpSetMaker yet: You should
take a look, if you need something for documenting programs, things,
processes or whatever you like.

HelpSetMaker allows creation and maintenance of online help documents. It is
especially tailored at the needs of the JavaHelp online help system for
Java programs. Help texts are written in a very simple descriptive
language, the resulting documents are immediately shown on the screen.
Links, images, and style sheets can be included and managed. Beside HelpSet
creation, HTML4-based web site output and LaTeX source creation is also
possible. HelpSetMaker comes with extensive online and written
documentation.

HelpSetMaker has been started by the German software company cantamen and is
distributed under the GNU General Public License, GPL.
