[ANN] Java Obfuscator yGuard 1.3

pr@yworks.com   08 Jan 2004 01:45 GMTPage rating:

yWorks is proud to announce the immediate availability of  the freeware
Java bytecode obfuscator yGuard version 1.3.

yGuard is designed as an Ant task and helps you protect your bytecode
from being successfully decompiled.  yGuard is configured completely
inside Ant build scripts and provides quick and effective bytecode
obfuscation.

The new version 1.3 has some exciting new features most of its
competitors lack: yGuard can adjust plain-text resource and properties
files to reflect the obfuscation resulting in much stronger obfuscation
and better protection.
yGuard 1.3 can be configured to create compressed xml logfiles thus
reducing the space requirements drastically.
The new version also fixes some smaller bugs and offers a new
obfuscation naming-scheme for the use with the MSJVM. A workaround for
an Ant 1.6 incompatibility has been implemented so that yGuard 1.3 will
run with both Ant versions 1.5.x and 1.6.
