I'd like to announce that J2SE 1.4.2 has been released!

If you didn't get a chance during the beta period, you can finally
check out the new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

As a Swing Team member, I'd like to take a second to tell you what's
new with Swing:

Major Swing introductions in this release include two new look and
feels; one for GTK+ and the other for Microsoft Windows XP. Also, a
series of major performance enhancements have been made to
JFileChooser. Lastly, I'm told we've fixed at least 150 Swing bugs!
