FlexGantt 1.0 UI Framework

Dirk Lemmermann   17 Oct 2007 21:35 GMTPage rating:

Version 1.0 of FlexGantt has been released today. FlexGantt is a
very powerful Gantt chart user interface component for Swing, which
allows its users to interact with project plans and scheduling
results.
Applications using FlexGantt can customize the Gantt component in
almost any way. Not only the rendering and editing of timeline
related
data can be modified but also the behaviour of the entire component.
This is accomplished by pluggable policy implementations, where
each policy controls the behaviour of a certain aspect of the Gantt
chart.

A fully functional evaluation distribution can be downloaded from the
project site at:
  http://www.dlsc.com

A (filthy rich client) webstart demo application can be found here:
  http://www.flexgantt.com/maven/webstart/flexgantt.jnlp

A partial features list:
- Model-View-Controller (MVC)
- Split screen
- Bookmarks
- Layers
- Policies
- Pluggable renderers
- Pluggable editors
- Popups / annotations
- Printing
- Relationships
- Lazy loading
- Command framework
- Paging
- Variable row heights
- Multi-column sorting
- Customizable timeline
- Calendar model
- Multiline

FlexGantt requires Java 5 or higher. It ships with German, English,
and
French resource bundles.
