The Nux project has announced the release of version 1.2 of the XML toolkit. They write in, "New in this release: Optional XQuery/XPath fulltext search via Apache Lucene engine. Similar to Google search, it is easy to use, powerful, efficient and goes far beyond what can be done with standard XPath regular expressions and string manipulation functions. Nux is an open-source Java XML toolset geared towards embedded use in high-throughput XML messaging middleware such as publish-subscribe and matchmaking systems for Blogs/newsfeeds."

The JAXB Workshop project has announced its first release. They write: "the project consists of a set of tools that facilitate work with JAXB 2.0. The tools include GUI wizard for XJC generator, XSD scrambler for removing sensitive infromation from XSD files, XML colorer for XML GUI applications and explorer for XJC generator."

The NetBeans project has announced the availability of a new JMX module. "It allows you to quickly develop management applications, to add management to existing applications, and to monitor the state of the Virtual Machine." The Ravenous Java werbserver project has released version 0.1.10 with some major enhancements. "This release contains numerous bugfixes and a couple of major new features. The biggest of these is the implementation of an MVC development model inspired by Ruby on Rails."

C-JDBC 1.3 - Database Clustering   31 May 2005 04:00 GMT
The ObjectWeb consortium has announced the release of version 1.3 of their database clustering application C-JDBC. "This new release includes a major update for controller replication with many reliability fixes and upgraded group communication. New features have been added to the driver for dynamic controller connection policies and a new optional debug mode. Backends recovery and transfer, controller shutdown and other console commands have also been fixed and improved."

The XAMJ browser project, has announced its initial release. They write in, "We are pleased to announce the very first release of the XAMJ prototype browser, 'Warrior' 0.90. (Consider this a pre-beta release.) XAMJ is an XML language designed from the ground up to be a Java-based alternative to Microsoft's XAML and a way to address many of the shortcomings of HTML. XAMJ can also be clearly used to build standalone applications, as the Warrior browser is written in XAMJ. The XAMJ project is at a very early stage. All feedback is appreciated."

The DWR, "AJAX and XMLHttpRequest made easy" project has released a significant update. They write, "DWR version 0.8 contains a big list of new features. You can download version 0.8 from java.net. The change log includes: batch sending of remote calls, fine grained access control, J2EE role based authorization, and enhanced debug pages. We are working on a smaller list for the next version so we are not that far from 1.0."
