Version 0.9.6 of Glazed Lists has been released by Jesse Wilson. He writes in, "[Version 0.9.6 is] a bug fix release that includes a powerful new filtering API and performance enhancements. Significant memory and consistency bugs have been squashed, API Changes: Optionally use Matchers and MatcherEditors instead of AbstractFilterList. The BasicEventList constructor that takes a List as an argument has been deprecated for safety reasons, and filtering performance has improved by as much as 10%."

Sun Microsystems has published a public review of JSR 252 - JavaServer Faces 1.2 to the JCP. "JavaServer Faces 1.2 provides a minimal enhancement of the JavaServer Faces 1.1 specification. It is not a new feature JSR. The primary goal of this JSR is handling the Faces side of the JSP/Faces alignment issues addressed in the parallel JSR-245."

Sun Microsystems has published a public review of JSR 245 - JavaServer Pages 2.1 to the JCP. "JSP technology is focused on simplifying the generation of dynamic web content. The JSP 2.0 specification (JSR-152) substantially extended the technology by integrating a simple yet powerful expression language, simplifying the tag extension API, and enhancing the pure XML syntax, among other important enhancements. These enhancements greatly reduced the learning curve of the technology, warranting a major version number upgrade."

Daffodil Software has announced a new version of CODAF (Compiere+Daffodil) made compatible with the latest Compiere version (2.5.2). "The new release augments the performance of Compiere (with Daffodil DB) by around 200%. To highlight this - each one of the nearly 175 forms and reports of Compiere now open in 5 seconds or less. Unlike the earlier version, users need not download the three separate components as the new release integrates all these and the GUI installer guides the user through the installation process."
