The draft includes XML schema support, Java To XML schema mapping, support for schema evolution, and portability. The development team is also seeing your feedback as , "part of our move to a more visible development model to enable us to get feedback sooner rather than later in the JAXB 2.0 development cycle. Additionally, going forward, we are planning to make intermediate drops of the JAXB 2.0 technlogy frequently."

Tom Copeland has released version 3.0 of his Java source code analyzer PMD with major feature enhancements. "PMD now has support for parsing JDK 1.5 source code, including enumerations, generics, annotations, and variable length arguments. There are also 17 new rules, and several of the existing rules have been optimized."

" log4j is now used for logging, so now all execution calls and all initialization commands are logged into a file named test.log.
