I am trying to build a java webservice using the Eclipse (version 2.1.) I would like some help in setting up my workspace and instructions on how to build my webservice into an ear file. Could anyone let me know what is required or perhaps point me to a tutorial?

I want to create a commercial application using a database. I was thinking about using mySQL, but since this is GPL I probably cannot do that without buying a commercial license. Does somebody know if I can use an Access database for free or I need to supply an office license

Are there any tools out there that that can perform a number of analyses on java programs, such as slicing java classes or performing control flow analysis? I"m looking especially for tools that are plug-ins to Eclipse.

Sun's ide is a massive download. 168 Meg. Does it also time out and become unusable after 60 days? Is there a genuine freeware and smaller ide for java? tia
