This bug has been present way back, and has never been fixed. Running the Hotspot Server VM Java 6 Update 3, I am getting seriously accelerated system clock times which can be as much as a minute over a couple of hours.
I'm relatively new to both the JVM and .NET and am learning Scala and F#. I was under the impression that .NET was essentially a later and greater reimplementation of the JVM in a Windows-specific form. However, I've just discovered some nasty caveats in .NET.
