i am trying to help my church convert a mid 80's databse to something
modern (preferably access or excel) .... i believe it was created with
'ibm office assistant' (not sure if this is accurate name) & has the
extension of .mdb .... any suggestions?? i am relatively computer

I just spent a few hours figuring this out, so I thought I would share.
In MS access, as with most databases, you can use a wild card criteria.
E.G.
select * from table where column='VAL*' (from within Access)
Pages: 1 2 3 4 February, 2005
