I'm new to using jasperreports and I would like appreciate some help
in certain issues regarding the implementation of reports from within
a java stand alone application.

   Usin borland's jbuilder X, I have managed to create a stand alone
swing application which handles a Microsoft Access data base. I would
like to print reports of the db data from within the stand alone
application.

   I have downloaded jasperreports and succesfully inserted it as a
new library in JBuilder. By using iReport I succesfully created a
template for a report which from within the ireport environment is
initiated and views the report accordingly to my selection of
prototype, in my case JRViewer. When I save the report from iReport I
get one .xml one .jasper and one .java file.

   My question is :
   a. How do I embed the report to my stand alone application in a
way that when the user pushes a swing button the jrviewer will
initiate the template and view the report and it's data from the
database ?
   b. How can I set values from withing my stand alone application
which will effect the sql query within the report template ?

Please forgive my ignorance on the given subject but honestly I have
searched thoroughly for answers in the internet and the included demo
sample files in the jasper report project with no results.
