Native code compiler for RMI system

Thread view:

Hi,

I am looking to compile a Java RMI system to native code.  The RMI
clients will run on Windows, and ideally the server will run on
Solaris.

Has anyone come across a product able to do this?

Excelsior JET have a beta release for Linux, in addition to their
Windows version.  I'm assuming then it is possible to use both
products on their respective operating systems for an RMI
client/server set-up??

Any advice greatly appreciated.

The Jet support people are great, even when you don't sign up for
support.  Just email them and ask.  They will bend over backwards to
help you.

I don't see anything special about RMI that would make it immune to
native compilation. They have arranged hooks to all the native
methods, and have compiled all the Java libraries.

There are forums there you can ask too, or see if someone has already
asked.
