J2EE web application performance testing

Thread view:
Dave Ockwell-Jenner - 04 Mar 2004 14:20 GMT
I am looking to do some performance testing on some existing J2EE web
applications (mainly JSP, some Servlets - no EJBs).  These web
applications run in JRun 3.1 and JRun 4.0 environments on the Windows
platform.

What tools do you recommend to help in your performance testing of
Java-based web applications?  I'm looking for something that can help
indicate which line/section of code is taking the most time to
execute... essentially profiling execution of the JSP/Servlet in the
container.

Looking for suggestions...

I checked-out JMeter this afternoon and so far it looks like a great
starting point.  Easy to use and does just what I need.

Many thanks!
