Anyone tried Fujaba?

Thread view:

I just found a tool called "Fujaba" - it's a free, open source Java UML
modeling tool.  Has anyone tried using this tool, or successfully used it in
a "real" project?

http://www.fujaba.de/

Thanks!

I played with it a little.  Like most university-freeware UML tools, it is
very restricted in functionality and develops 'nonstandard' diagrams (does
not display methods in the class for example).  argouml is probably the best
known of such tools.  It has been around for a while and used by a lot of
folks; but it is still less functional than a commercial product.  I would
recommend springing for the personal edition of MagicDraw UML.  It's only
$150 and there is a free tryout period from www.nomagic.com.  But, as I say
there are lots of free tools.

Forget Fujaba! I tried it but didn't mange to produce something usable.

Try Poseidon from www.gentleware.com. There is a free comunity edition to
download which should fit your needs. With Poseidon there are lots of diagram
types you can produce and you can generate Java classes from your UML
diagram.
