Importing build.xml into Eclipse

Thread view:
Matthew Ryan - 05 Feb 2004 23:49 GMT
I have an Ant build script which I use for performing several operations in
Tomcat apart from building the web application I am working on.

I have just started using Eclipse and would like to import this Ant build
script so I can make use of the Deploy functionality in the build script.

I have gone into 'External Tools - Ant Build' where it seems it is possible
to generate a Ant build script. There doesn't seem to be any means to import
my existing script.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Just copy the build.xml file into the Project directory and click
project name, choose refresh. You will see build.xml and ant icon.

Or You can import menu. Right click the directory name you want to
import build.xml file and choose Import. Then choose file, go to the
directory where build.xml is in, and check build.xml and click OK.
