Unable to start Lomboz from within Eclipse

Thread view:
keto - 13 Jul 2006 05:13 GMT
I am using
Java SDK version -> 1.4.2
Java Enterprise version->1.4.2
Windows platform->Windows xp professional

problem: I had downloaded  lomboz eclipse ide(prepackaged with wtp,gem
etc) to package my J2EE components, from objectlearn.com. But after
extraction of a prepackaged IDE. I didn't see the Lomboz plugins in
Windows->Customize perspective.

I already check that all the plugins are properly installed or not but
i saw that all the plugins are properly installed.
I had tried a lot to see that plugins in my IDE.

i searched the group i saw one message to install this eclipse on
GNU/Linux to rectify this problem.Is it possible to use Lomboz project
on Windows any installation any patch.

Is there any plugin that i can use instead of Lomboz to package my j2ee
components on Windows xp.
Please help!

You may get answer here but it might make better sense to ask in the
correct newsgroup. Try the Eclipse NNTP server at news.eclipse.org

I guess you should try either eclipse.webtools or eclipse.newcomer

You need a password to submit to their newsgroups. You can get that at:
http://www.eclipse.org/newsgroups

Thanks in Advance...

Some Eclipse plugins can't work together.
As I remember, Lomboz don't work when MyEclipse plugin is active for
example.
Moreover, installing a plugin can cause sereval plugins / feature
librairies in Eclipse to be overwritten.
Then the new plugins / feature librairies versions possibly don't work
with old plugins installed.

For making Lomboz to work, maybe think about installing a clean Ecllipse
somewhere and then install only Lomboz on it.
Then install one by one other plugin and control at each time if new
plugin installed doesn't disturb other plugins already installed.
