Netbeans & Javaweb start: not working?

Thread view:

Hi all,

I followed the brief tutorial on the netbeans web page for Using Java
Web Start in NetBeans IDE. In the step to load the Netbeans Module for
Java Web Start from the Update Center, I don't see any such module listed.

I checked where I could for the module already installed.  I had no
luck, and the option to load Java web start later on in the tutorial is
not available.

Is perhaps Java web start temporarily off line?  Did it move somewhere
else since the tutorial was written?  This is all kinda hard to figure
out for a first time user....

Any help you can provide is much appreciated!

I remember downloading this module. I played with it and it is nice but
in early stages of development. I know I still have it installed because
if I click prosperities on a project. I can see the project properties
option:

Java Web Start -> Enable Java Web Start

Either they stop making the module available for download or you may
have inadvertently downloaded it and have not checked to see if you have
it already..

Thanks in Advance...
