Netbeans and Oracle (+Financials)

Thread view:

Hi,

I've been using Netbeans for ages and I would be interested to find out
if anyone is using it to develope apps that use Oracle and more
specifically Oracle Financials.

The default thing to do would be to use JDeveloper but I've had a look
at that and Im not keen to be honest. I'm not sure if Oracle tie you
into using in some way though and if you want to use another IDE your
stuffed.

Cheers in advance

we use NetBeans with Oracle to handle all our Intranet App's.

I have tested JDeveloper but I find, for my self, that NetBeans is
better for me to write my Web and RichClient App's.

I'd suspect they'd do it the other way around, using the free tool
JDeveloper would tie you into deploying on their commercial appserver.
But it's not my experience they do. However, JDeveloper *is* better
integrated with other Oracle products than, say, Netbeans are. Oracle
Financials I don't know, and I really can't answer your question :-(
