Mounting javadoc api reference with NetBeans IDE 3.5.1

Thread view:

Hi

I just can't mount javadoc api reference within NetBeans

Using the Explorer pane right-clicked the [Filesystems] root node using
[mount] menu-option to [Local Directory] browsing the desired folder say
"D:\j2sdk1.4.2_01\docs\api\index-files",
wizzard finishes!

Additionally revising the preferences for created selection I choose the
[Use as Documentation] option to "True" at [Capabilities] Tab.

Strange enough javadoc is not invoked displaying the following message :
"Cannot find javadoc. Check the javadoc manager to make sure the
documentation is mounted.".
Even if I unmount the failing filesystem and go through the javadoc manager
or the customize menu option
for Filesystems explicitly defining the mounted entry within "Javadoc
Documentation" part of the tree; same problem over and over again. I also
tried different levels of root declaration
including "..\docs" "..\docs\api\" "..\docs\api\index-files"

What am I missing? Help is much appreciated!

No such problem with any ForteFamily IDEs in the past!

Mount it (the javadoc) from Tools-> Javadoc Manager.
