Can't access workspace

I can't access a particular workspace.

When I try to access the workspace, the Eclipse hangs.

Is there a way to fix this so I can access the workspace?

yes, there is a way.

1) end eclipse
2) make a copy of the workspace directory
3) delete .metadata directory
4) start eclipse with this workspace
5) File->Import..->Existing Projects and Fragments and select your
projects

You have to go through every project.

Normally that should work. It did it by me.
