NetBeans 4.1 Project Opening Problem

Thread view:
isusanin@gmail.com - 21 Jul 2005 15:15 GMT
Hi,

I'm trying to move a NetBeans project folder to a different location in
the filesystem. However, once I move the project I can no longer open
it using the "File->Open Project" dialog. NetBeans does not seem to
recognize it as a project folder anymore.
Does anyone else experience this problem, or is there another way to
move projects?

No, i don't have experience this problem.

May be you are using a wrong version of NB.

Try to move the project folder to original location.

See inside the folder and check for a subfolder called nbproject. There
is a properties files you must to take a closer look.

Anyway, there is a very active forum in the NB site, you can post this
request there

Hope this help.

Thank you for the response. I've played with moving the project folder
more and what I have discovered is that the problem occurs only if I
move the project folder to a network driver and the path to the folder
looks something like this: \\COMPNAME\Folder\project

I guess it's a bug in NB.

If it's a bug, please, put it in the NB forum. For the URL I supose you
are using Windows. Then try to map \\COMPNAME to a logical drive, for
example Y: .

You can be surprised if now MB works, that's a problem in windows I saw
years ago when I was instaling samba and using linux as server. Windows
clients can't do requests locks and this can be your problem

Try it before post.
