Eclipse Newbie

Thread view:
oakleyx@hotmail.com - 02 Feb 2005 14:24 GMT
Hi,

I'm new to eclipse.  I need to install the ftp plugins in the
org.eclipse.team.ftp_3.0.0 directory.  The folder is in my plugins
directory under my eclipse sub directory.  But I don't know what to do
next. Can someone give me some direction on how to import it into
eclipse.

Thanks

Are you the same as the OP (oakleyx@hotxxxx.xxx)?

In general, installing an Eclipse plugin from a ZIP file requires to
unpack the ZIP file in the Eclipse directory.
Then restart Eclipse, and the plugin should be available. How the plugin
actually manifests itself in Eclipse, depends on the plugin. Some add
toolbar buttons, some supply a new view, others might provide a new
perspective.

Where did you get the FTP plugin. Is there any documentation on how to
use it (some plugins also integrate with Eclipse help)?.
