Design tool for "multi-thread"

I am looking for a tool to design/describe the relation/sequence/interaction
amount threads.

What kind of diagram do poeple normally use to do the analysis/design/model
on multi-thread application?

Any suggestion for a design tool?

UML statecharts and activity diagrams come to mind. Collaboration and
sequence diagrams can be used too, but I find them less appropriate when
it comes to concurrent behavior. Any decent UML tool should handle them.
