I need a free (open source or cheap) java chat for a social networking
site... i'm searching for solution which i can integrate for private
chat sessions between users, so i need a configurable solutions.... i'm
new in java plaease help me! thanx in advance.

Thanks for the credit :( ....I could try searching google, but I am
curious what developers with more experience suggest. I alredy tried 2
solutions, and it's both failed after couple of weeks (one was an AJAX
aproach with http request, another was a FLASH socket solution), and i
really had enough of trying and trying and problems all over again :'(
... So, that's why i this post. Thanx in advance for tips.

Hi,
If it is a simple chat system you are looking for then why dont you
create it yourself. If you want to create a java chat application
yourself then you may be interested in the following links..
