Problems Upgrading/installing Java EE 5 SDK

Thread view:

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out why my installation
wizard keeps freezing when I try to install Java EE 5 SDK Update 1?

   At first I uninstalled the previous version.  While the installation
process was going on I walked away for about 5 minutes.  When I came back my
anti-virus software reported suspicious activity and had shut down the
installation.  I tried to restart it several times but it freezes once I
choose an installation directory.  Interestingly enough, I can still use the
Browse button, but the Back, Next, Help and Cancel buttons are inoperative.

   I have tried turning the anti-virus software off during installation,
removing any left-over java files from the previous installation as well as
relevant registry entries, using system restore and installing as an upgrade
instead of a fresh install.

Do you need the web-services (Servlets, JSP's..) Java*, or core Java**?

*  J2EE
** J2SE
