JRE 1.4.x fat client on Citrix MF problem

Thread view:

Hello,

I tried to launch a Java 1.4 Swing application on Citrix MF, not using
the installed JRE 1.5, but using a JRE 1.4.2, bundled in a subdirectory
of my application by just invoking the javaw.exe. With JRE 1.3.x this
works fine, but with the 1.4 version I get always
java.lang.NullPointerExceptions from the constructors of various
Swing-element, such as

java.lang.NullPointerException
at javax.swing.border.EmptyBorder.<init>(Unknown Source)
at
com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsTableHeaderUI$XPDefaultRenderer.getTableCellRendererComponent
...

I've searched the groups, but this seems to be a little-known problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm assuming you don't have the source code for this application, and so
I'm assuming you purchased the software from someone. Have you tried
contacting the original developpers for support?
