Help! Where to download JRE 1.2.2 outside java.sun.com

Thread view:

Greetings, hope this is the right NG to post the enquiry.

Need to get hold of JRE 1.2.2 urgently to test an age-old Java 1.2.2
software. The problem is, I can't download it from Sun as my Netscape
Communicator can't exchange the correct encryption algorithm with the
site.
Currently no time for all the hassle of grabbing a new version of
Communicator via our slow 56K upstream link.
Would like to know where else I can download JRE 1.2.2.

Have googled "jre" +"download", and ftp-ing ftp.sun.com, but all to no
avail.

Thanks a lot.

Have finally downloaded the software through the link
http://ftp.ncnu.edu.tw/JavaDownload/JRE/1.2.2/jre1_2_2-solx86.sh.

Thanks for attention.

Right. But as an infrastructure SI, we have no decent Java tool of
trade beyond JDK 1.1. Have just took over the maintenance duty of a
Java software from our development partner. Its GUI front-end employs a
lot of DnD facilities from Java 1.2 AWT and JRE 1.2.2 seems to be the
minimal package we need to kick start the whole business immediately.
