Thread view:

Hi folks,

Downloaded the latest XP updates and the java stopped working(?) When I load a page with j.s. it doesn't run ie menumachine shows up in the source code but my computer does not display it.

IE.>tools>internet options>advanced and Java Console enabled and JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled

Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, you started out saying Java, but then you started talking about a
page with "j.s.".  So which is it: are you talking about Java or
JavaScript?  If you're talking about JavaScript, then you need to stop
looking at any IE options that pertain to Java, and then go ask in
comp.lang.javascript.

If you're talking about Java (that is, an applet), then we might be able
to help.  In that case, please provide a more detailed description of
the exact problem.  I have no idea what you mean by "menumachine shows
up in the source code but my computer does not display it."

Thanks for the replys. As a newbie, I am obviously in way over my head here
and apoligize for posting a poorly worded question (in .html!) in the wrong
newsgroup. I'm just trying to get my computer to see java scripting... (I
think!)

Sorry, Dave

As the other poster said, it appears you're talking about javascript,
this is a java group.
And please don't post html to comp.lang.java.help; ascii is just fine.
