Retrieveing application bean from Action

Thread view:
Scott Phelps - 06 Apr 2005 20:11 GMT
How do I retrieve an application bean  like

<jsp:useBean id="codesManager" scope="application" class="my.CodesManager"/>

I tried

CodesManager cManager = (CodesManager) session.getAttribute("codesManager");
but it just returns null

Thanks

Because "session" isn't "application". It's "session". To get at application
scope attributes, use session.getServletContext().getAttribute("codesManager").
Make sure you understand the difference between session and application scope.
