I get the following error when I try to use an applet in an XSL
stylesheet

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: formatLocation

I am displaying an XML document according to an XSL stylesheet and
when I click on it I get this message.
I built the HelloWorld applet and tried to access it from the
helloworld.htn and got the same type of error
Error loading class: HelloWorld
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: HelloWorld

My html, xml, xsl, and applets are in the same directory. I am running
Windows 2000, SP3 and using JDK 1.4.2 with Netbeans IDE 3.6.
This is quite irritating. I even put the directory in the CLASSPATH
out of superstition. I would like to get past this and will appreciate
any help I can get.

This VM (the MSVM, Java 1.1) was made last millenium.
It is obsolete and was never secure.
Ensure your web-page has the Java version
applet to allow users to know if their
Java is a high enough version for your applet..

For *your* IE though, it might just be you
need to select 'Use Sun Java' in the settings.

* (shrugs) My server is a bit sleepy
at the moment, but those are the correct
URL's as I recall..
