Together generates its UML documentation to an HTML structure that has
a tree in one of the panes that is an applet. Works fine on my
machine, but for the poor souls who are still using Explorer, the
applet is not coming up. On one of the machines, the applet (which is
very old) is not working, even though the machine claims to have a
Java version of 1.4.2? Thanks.

No. It's the web page that is (more) broken,
give us the URL and I'll help you fix it.

From a few years ago I remember an issue with a applet used in Javadoc with UML diagrams which was
generated by TogetherJ.
IIRC the applet had a problem when the Javadoc was located on a Windows UNC path, e.g.
\\server\share\path\javadoc\index.html. When we mapped the path to a driveletter, the applet was
happy. [or maybe it was the other way around; can't remember either if it was the applet on its own,
or just in combination with IE but not with Mozilla]. Maybe it applies to your environment too.
Otherwise, check the Java console in IE if that gives you some clues.

Shoot, I remember that myself, having to map to a drive letter.
Problem is now I am using MacOS to generate. The applet works in
Mozilla. Maybe I could simulate a mapping in OS X?
Thanks.

Which is why I suggested (over 20 days ago)
you supply an URL. A post you ignored.

Maybe you should follow the advice already offered.

Can you post a URL so others can try it?
Usually, when an applet won't work in IE, the problem is due to the
fact that the version of Java that comes with IE is over 4 years old
and doesn't have all of the features of the newer versions of Java.
Installing the Java plug-in usually solves the problem.
Even a machine that has 1.4.2 installed might not have the plug-in
installed for IE. On that machine, if you go to the Control Panel,
you should see a control for the plug-in which will allow you to
activate it for IE.
