OK, so I see that Java does not natively support serial port I/O but
provides an extension package called javax.comm to support it on
Windows. (As well as other platforms I guess, but my interest right now
is in Windows).
My quesion is, though, how do I distribute a java application that is
stand-alone? Ie. I want to write this on one machine, then download it
to any other and run it without needing to download the javax.comm
package. Can the package be included in the application's jar?
Sorry if this is a really stupid question. Packages/JARs/SerialIO are
all aspects of Java I've not fiddled with much.
