Zip exception -  trying to install jedit - help

Hi group,
I am trying to install Jedit and I have a jar file. I run it with this
command:
java -jar jedit41install.jar

and I get the following error:
Exception in thread "main" java.util.zip.ZipException: The system cannot
find the file specified
   at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method)
   at java.util.zil.ZipFile.<init>(ZipFile.java:112)
   at java.util.jar.JarFile.<init>(JarFile.java:117)
   at java.util.jar.JarFile.<init>(JarFile.java:55)

I have cd'd to the folder where my install file is and I'm stuck can anyone
help .
