Hi All,
I am new to JAVA programing. I have little bit knowledge in this
area. Previously I was working in LINUX OS for this programming. Now I
want to use WINDOWS XP for it. Please tell me how to compile and run
the program in WINDOWS environment. What softwars are needed to be
installed in my system in WINDOWS XP?
I am referring this website for this programing: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/

Please help me in this regards.
Thanks and regards,
Anupam Das

You need the JDK ("JDK 6 Update 7"):

I recommend NetBeans for development:
