hi,

I need to install SDK/JRE 1.5, but here, http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp,
I only see updates...

I just re-installed my OS (for which I had to reformat my HD -- don't
ask.. (VISTA....  sigh....))  so need a new, clean re-install of
1.5....

thank you..

J2SE 5.0 is in its Java Technology End of Life (EOL) transition period.
The EOL transition period began April 8th, 2008 and will complete
October 8th, 2009, when J2SE 5.0 will have reached its End of Service
Life (EOSL). Customers interested in learning more about Sun's Java

If you really want an old JDK then download the JDK 5.0 Update 15.  That
is the last JDK!

Hi,

The update is actually the JDK patched to the latest version. You can
download that.

Cheers
