jar file different from its original java project

hi, dudes,

I am a freshman for java! I have developed a java project, based on
jbuilder7. I used jdk1.4 instead of  the build in jdk1.3. when I make
a jar file of that project, run the jar file, its appearence come out
a little differ from the original java project.
why that happens? how can I fix this problem?
