J2ME certificate error - please help......

Thread view:

Hi All,

I'm hoping i may attract the attention of someone who's using netbeans
or suns wireless toolkit 2.3 beta and is signing midlets to run on a
nokia.

Problem I'm having is when I sign my midlet and install it, the
installation never completes, just displays  "Certificate error contact
provider".

I've tried numerous certificates and always get the same result..

Its totally got me stumped, any ideas appreciated...

I'm going to need a little more to go on. Who issued the certificate, is
it valid? (As in, have you set the clock on the phone?)

Self signed certificates will not work, unless you install a root
certificate to the device. (Some nokias' will allow this)

Regards,
Alec
