This is regular polite way in many cultures. Be polite too.

WOW! You know how to prevent ("shut down") spammers in news group?

Could you, please, share it or, at least, use it?
We (really we) are so tired of them in all groups.

Honestly, why do you waste your early morning time to answer spammers?
They really don't read your answer and will be mot shy to send mew
letters. After all they are robots.

What makes you think Andrew's time was spent in the morning?

I'm in the Eastern (Daylight) time zone and Andrew's message came in at 7:12
AM today, according to my newsreader. That's 11:12Z, or somewhere between
19:12 to 21:42 where Andrew is, that is to say, evening. Not even especially
early evening.

Also, even if Andrew were in my time zone, not everyone thinks of 7:12 AM as
"early" morning. (Some of us think of it as the end of the night.)

Note also that issuing orders to people on
usenet is not only pointless, it is also

I know how to shut down particular email addresses.

Shutting down an email address does not
stop spam. Whether you are a moron, or just
playing dumb, I neither know nor care, but
just thought I should make that clear for

I spend most of my friggin' time reporting
them. For users of ISPs, that might prevent
them from ever seeing those posts.

posted by Google posters, when reported by
other Google posters, from every (or any)
3rd party Google poster, you could hardly
appreciate the difference.

And FTW - on the rare occasions I respond to
spam, it is either that ...
a) The spam might be seen as 'plausible enough'
to tempt noobs into following the link (always
a bad idea), or in the slight chance that..
b) This is just an overenthusiastic recruiter
who might be steered in a new, more sensible
direction.
