Starting with java

Hi friends,
I have a minor knowledge of JAVA and want to be a good programmer of
JAVA but i am not able to start up with it in the good sense. So just
need help of you people so that i can work better in JAVA. And also
refer me a book for JAVA if you can and if you can provide me the link
for an ebook please provide me.
