Never having heard of these, and assuming you meant in a Java context, I tried
first:
<http://www.google.com/search?q=Java+reggie>

What have you tried, so that we may avoid covering the same ground you've
already trodden?

It's related to JINI protocol (not much people know about it ... too
complicated to start, but I have managed somehow conifuring & running little
"hello world" program with lot of sweat)
Never mind - I have found already (jini + reggie :
not much samples but something ...)

Thanks, anyway.
