Sunspot Manufacturers

Thread view:

Does anyone know who manufactures SUNSpots or where I can get information on
buying them (other than merely the ones included with the developer's kit?).
I'm curious as to pricing and availability of these things. Thanks, R. Vince

I get the impression that Sun is the sole manufacturer/distributor

According to that page, at the moment they do
not ship outside the U.S.

(Just musing, because this is the first time I
have ever heard of the Sun SPOT tech. ...)
These things look like a lot of fun.  I have some
photograghy based projects that it might be well
suited too.

It is interesting to note that ..
1) One of the images shows one strapped to what
looks like a rocket - did Sun suddenly decide that
Java was suitable for 'on-line or inline control of
aircraft', or are they only assuming the rocket will
be used in space?  ..Or is J2ME different to the
J2SE when it comes to momentary pauses due
to GC?
2) They do not ship to P.O. boxes
3) Given 1), 2) is relatively unsurprising.
No 'terrist' would have a street address.  ;-)

Or they use UPS or FedEx or one of those.
