how to install JAI

Hi Sir,
I want to know if I need JAI(java advanced imaging) in my project, so
what should i have to do for that, should i have to install this
package if i'm developing my applications in java 1.5 standard edition

Making the JAI packages available on the classpath at
compile and runtime, should be sufficient.
