How to get information about available 802.11 access points in the J2ME application?

I'm loooking for an information how obtain information about the
available WiFi (802.11) access points in the J2ME application.
I was not able any JSR describing this topic.
Is this functionality available for J2ME?

I checked with a fellow student who has worked on the Placelab project
(http://www.placelab.org). He is not aware of any J2ME package for WiFi
access points.
