Hello,
I'm looking for a book to learn Java.
So I would like to know what do you think about the book Java in a

Thank you.

I had a copy back in the fall of 2000 when I first began learning Java.
I felt it was a decent enough reference, but I didn't find it so good
for starting out.

You might try Sun's own tutorials online.

Ditto.  Java in a Nutshell is a reference, not a tutorial.

Besides the excellent suggestion for Sun's own tutorials, I've found
Learning Java by O'Reilly to be quite.
